here i am, about to board the first plane of many.. all because God mapped out a future for me twenty years ago. one that would prove to stretch me to my human limits and lead me toward His infinite ones. i cant believe i’m here.

and i refuse to let fear breed one moment’s pause…

this is right.
this is too good to be true.
this is the first of many.
this is the essence of grace.

this is push coming to shove.
this is saying goodbye to ordinary.
this is saying hello to a hope and a future.
this is sweaty palms and tear stained cheeks.
this is butterflies swirling around the stomach.

this is faith.
this is hope.
this is love.

all found in the God who knew better.
and always knows better.

i think these are song lyrics i’ve heard before, but. i’ve resolved to the mindset of “TAKE MY LIFE, MAKE IT YOURS”… because He’s able and willing.

i’d like to:

read the whole bible (including leviticus).
grow my bangs out for the first time since i was 11.
visit jeremy in the philippines.
learn how to french braid.
stay in touch with the people who matter most.
form new friendships.
spend less money on coffee.
write songs.
be disciplined enough to learn the guitar.
clean up after myself.
learn how to ride a bike.
learn how to cook.
initiate more conversations with my dad.
learn how to sew.
decrease the importance of material things.
document memories.
break free.
follow wherever God leads.
find myself.
let go of myself.
get and sustain a tan.
eat more fruits & veggies.
floss more often than right before i see the dentist.
love Jesus even more.

i’ve got a feeling that it’s going to be a great year.
one full of new places and people and things,
one that will keep me guessing,
one that will leave me breathless,
one that will reveal life’s beauty,
one that Jesus will hold my hand throughout.
